UCLM staff visit the universities of Ferrara and Bitola as part of the Colours twinning programme

Teaching, research and technical staff from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) have visited the universities of Ferrara (Italy) and St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola (North Macedonia) as part of the Erasmus mobility call KA131 launched by the institution, specifically for twinning within Colours Alliance, to promote cooperation with partner universities in the Colours alliance in areas such as teaching, research, innovation, university management and entrepreneurship.

At the University of Ferrara, the UCLM delegation, led by the Vice-Rector for International Policy and Global Partnerships, Raúl Martín, was received by the rector’s team and held meetings with academic leaders from various areas, such as Humanities, Social Education, Sports Science, Architecture, Mathematics, Chemistry and Nursing.

During the meetings, progress was made on new Erasmus+ agreements, proposals for double degrees and joint summer schools. They also worked on shared actions for the promotion of multilingualism.

The agenda included meetings with the technical team of the Colours alliance in Ferrara, visits to scientific and technological facilities such as the Tecnopolo of Ferrara and meetings with local development agents and educational centres, with the aim of establishing future collaborations and presenting the UCLM as an academic destination.

At the same time, another UCLM team visited the University of Bitola with the participation of physiotherapy and nursing teachers and technical staff. This double visit strengthens the cooperation ties of the UCLM in the framework of Colours and consolidates its involvement in the European university project.
