Prof. Dr. Igor Nedelkovski, full professor at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies – Bitola, who previously held the position of rector of the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola, has been elected rector for a second term of office.
The election took place in accordance with the previously established dynamics and in a transparent procedure, under the jurisdiction of the University election committee and the presidency of prof. dr. Ratka Neškovska from the Faculty of Technical Sciences – Bitola. The current rector was the only candidate for the position of rector of UKLO.
In accordance with the Law on Higher Education, the Statute of the University, the Guidelines for the Procedure for the Election of Rector and the Schedule of Activities for the Election of Rector, on May 20, 2025, from 12:00 to 14:00, a secret ballot was held in all units of UKLO, which officially ended the election procedure.
According to the results of the vote, the University election committee concluded that out of a total of 267 academic staff members with the right to vote, 235 voted, of which 225 supported prof. dr. Igor Nedelkovski for a second term, which represents 70 votes more than in his first election.
The academic community of the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola congratulated him on the election of rector and expressed expectations for continuity in the implementation of the strategic directions for further development of the University, including internationalization, digital transformation and improvement of its visibility at the national and international level.
