The COLOURS Alliance recently made a remarkable impression at one of the University of Ferrara’s most prominent events, Unife Orienta, drawing in at least 5,000 visitors. Throughout the three-day event, the COLOURS stand attracted at least 150 visitors daily, providing an engaging and interactive experience for all attendees.
Visitors were invited to delve into the world of COLOURS through interactive quizzes accessible on their mobile devices. These quizzes offered quick and insightful knowledge on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), as well as languages and cultures. The EDI quiz, which engaged 229 participants, highlighted the significance and role of EDI, promoting mindfulness in social interactions. Meanwhile, the language and culture quiz, with 317 participants, shared intriguing facts about the countries of COLOURS university partners, such as how to greet someone in German or what the traditional cuisine in Poland is.
This initiative underscores COLOURS’s commitment to Open Education, actively involving the public in its activities and advancing its objectives of green, digital, and social transitions. The alliance is devoted to expanding educational opportunities for students, including double degree programs, international workshops, and challenge-based internships, to prepare them with the skills and competencies essential for the global workforce.
Moreover, COLOURS encourages collaboration among a diverse range of stakeholders, including companies, NGOs, policymakers, researchers, and academics.
