On 19 February 2026, the University of Ferrara warmly welcomed more than 60 Erasmus students, marking the start of their international study experience with a dedicated orientation event focused on both practical support and cultural integration.
The event offered international students hands-on guidance on essential topics such as obtaining health insurance, fine-tuning their Learning Agreements, and navigating administrative procedures. Alongside this, students received practical tips on how to make the most of their time in Italy, covering travel opportunities, social activities, and student-friendly experiences across the region.
To encourage cultural exchange in a fun and interactive way, COLOURS and the Unife Language Center organised a language and cultural Kahoot quiz, introducing students to fascinating facts about Ferrara. Participants discovered, for example, who the most famous international student in Unife’s history was and how old the iconic Castello Estense really is.
The initiative was proudly delivered in collaboration with the Italian Tax Agency and the Erasmus Student Network Ferrara, reinforcing a strong support network for incoming students.
Supporting students not only through innovative, challenge-based education but also through wellbeing, culture, and community is a core value of the COLOURS Alliance, and this event was a clear reflection of that commitment.
