Celebrating the first staff week on inclusion at LMU!

It was the occasion to present the COLOURS Alliance to 20 international partners and to emphasize how important inclusion and diversity are essential at LMU but also in COLOURS European University Alliance, with a dedicated 4-year work plan!

In the context of the staff week, LMU also organised a round table on women in entrepreneurship, with live sharing and inspiring experiences of 4 local entrepreneurs, committed to a green and social transition.

It was offered in blended format and live translation in English for other COLOURS partner members across Europe. After that, a salary negotiation workshop for women rounded off this afternoon dedicated to female empowerment. A big thank you to Christine Naschberger who led the workshop and agreed to do it in English for local and international staff.

LMU also had the great pleasure to welcome Marie Agnès Detourbe, ambassador of the ECIU University. Together we discussed the structuring role of a European university, the integration of challenges and the involvement of local players at the core of educational programmes. Her generosity and willingness to share her experience were highly appreciated and part of the community of practice between alliances.

Prof. Marie Agnes Detourbe also rose to the challenge of offering a summary of the discussions of the round table, sharing her input on how European university alliances also have a key role to play in contributing to societal change, in particular by promoting women’s entrepreneurship.

LMU also had a Forum celebrating inclusion and organised by the COLOURS student ambassadors, attended by the student health service, the solidarity grocery shop, the Erasmus Student Network, the AFEV (an association that recruits students to help secondary school pupils with learning difficulties), a representative from the equality mission who came to talk to the students about consent and, of course, a COLOURS stand with lots of quizzes and prizes to be won. Thanks to Robert Dodsworth, staff member, for the live music in the spring sunshine.
