Study & Learn
The COLOURS Alliance offers a unique and transformative educational experience, connecting nine universities across Europe. This initiative aims to create a dynamic, interconnected academic environment that fosters joint degrees, double degrees, and micro-credentials, enabling students to earn qualifications recognized across borders. Whether you are interested in Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) or participating in summer schools, COLOURS provides a broad range of opportunities to enrich your education.
Through the COLOURS Alliance, students can access a comprehensive course catalogue that spans multiple universities, making it easier to find the right programs to meet their academic and career goals. Mobility resources such as scholarships, internships, and exchange opportunities within the Alliance allow students to expand their horizons beyond the classroom. By participating in these programs, students gain valuable academic knowledge and intercultural and language skills, preparing them for success in a globalised world.
At the heart of the COLOURS educational approach is the COLOURS Open Education Action Plan. Developed collaboratively by all partners, this plan reflects European values such as human dignity, democracy, equality, and human rights, while emphasising social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and creativity. The Action Plan is designed to support challenge-based education, a key component of the COLOURS Alliance, which focuses on experiential learning and transdisciplinarity—encouraging students to work on real-world problems across different disciplines.
The Alliance is also dedicated to creating a flexible and internationally competitive inter-university campus (CoCampus), supported by a joint IT infrastructure. The COLOURS CoCampus serves as a multilingual catalogue of curricula, allowing students to plan their individual study programs and mobility phases, fosters collaboration through virtual exchange courses, language events, and joint events like conferences and fairs, all organised in partnership with local communities and regional stakeholders.
It also includes the COLOURS Global Classroom, a space where students can engage in joint courses and multilingual cohorts, enhancing their international experience.
To ensure a sustainable and long-term integration of the COLOURS approach across all universities, the COLOURS Pedagogical Support Centre offers mentoring and training for staff and professors. This centre provides resources on innovative teaching methods, including challenge-based learning, virtual exchange, blended programs, and experiential learning.
The COLOURS Alliance emphasises inclusion, participation, and diversity. Through its Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) approach, COLOURS is committed to increasing social diversity among students, academics, and researchers. By developing a joint EDI policy and action plan, the Alliance ensures that all members of the COLOURS community have equal access to opportunities and resources, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
