Imagine Summit was the first major event of the COLOURS European University Alliance at Kristianstad University, Sweden. This one-day conference brought together representatives from academia, the public sector, private sector, and civil society to collaborate on addressing societal challenges and identifying innovative solutions.
Designed as a collaborative arena where participants from various sectors could engage in meaningful dialogue and work together to overcome societal challenges, the Imagine Summit was a joint effort by Kristianstad University, Kristianstad Municipality, and Krinova Incubator & Science Park.
The morning sessions featured presentations from various projects, including initiatives focused on young talent recognition, sustainability efforts by Kristianstad Municipality, and research in food, health, and retail conducted by the FOHRK environment at Kristianstad University.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in a workshop utilising the “Imagine” concept, a method rooted in Design Thinking principles. They were divided into smaller, interdisciplinary groups to identify needs and develop solutions, culminating in six 3-minute idea pitches that wrapped up the conference.
