On 19 May 2026, Paderborn University will place diversity at the centre of campus life: during DIV DAY OWL 2026, universities from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region will come together to highlight different perspectives on diversity and foster exchange.
The COLOURS European University Alliance is pleased to take part in the event with an information booth featuring interactive participation formats, as well as a DIV TALK highlighting the COLOURS perspective. Everyone is warmly invited to join us, either on campus or online via livestream.
Programme Overview
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Action Day in the O-Building Foyer
Interactive activities invite participants to get involved, exchange ideas, and jointly explore new perspectives on diversity.
2:30 p.m. – Official Opening
Welcome address by Prof. Dr Heike Trautmann, President of the COLOURS European University Alliance and Vice President for International Relations at Paderborn University.
Venue: AV Studio, Building H, with live broadcast in Lecture Hall O2.
3:00–4:30 p.m. – DIV TALKS OWL
In concise seven-minute presentations, students and researchers will share projects, ideas, and perspectives on diversity and social sustainability. The CIO-Lead from Paderborn University, Dr. Isabelle Leitloff, will participate with a talk, contributing the COLOURS perspective.
Venue: AV Studio, Building H, with live broadcast in Lecture Hall O2.
4:45 p.m. – Networking with snacks and refreshments
An opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and connect with others in the O-Building foyer.
5:15–6:30 p.m. – Academic Talk
“Diversity among Doctoral Candidates – Room for Improvement! Changing Structures, Creating Opportunities and (New) Pathways” with Prof. Dr Isabel Steinhardt and Dr Anda-Lisa Harmening, followed by an open discussion.
Venue: Lecture Hall O2.
