In spring 2026, Osijek will once again become a hub of knowledge, research, and innovation. On 12 and 13 March 2026, the University of Osijek campus at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences will host scientists, researchers, and students who will share their knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas through accessible and interactive activities, with the aim of popularising science and bringing scientific content closer to the general public.
Knowledge is the foundation of social development—it opens the door to freedom, creates new opportunities, and empowers the building of a sustainable and successful future. Guided by this idea, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek is organising SciArt Osijek 2026 – Days of Science and Art of the University of Osijek, which will also be held as the 3rd MUZZA Science Weekend in Osijek, in cooperation with the non-profit association MUZZA.
During the two-day programme, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, demonstrations, experiments, and meet-and-greet sessions with scientists, researchers, and students from various scientific fields. The programme is designed to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and an interest in science from an early age.
SciArt Osijek 2026 is intended for children, young people, parents, educators, students, and all citizens interested in how science shapes our everyday lives and our future.
As in the past two years, COLOURS will have its own stand, where it will introduce the COLOURS European University Alliance to preschool children as well as primary school pupils, presenting in an engaging way how our universities collaborate across Europe in the fields of health & well-being, IT & digitalisation, food production, and the green transition.
