Freshwater pollution represents a major environmental and societal challenge, directly affecting our territories and their ecosystems. Understanding its causes, assessing its impacts, and considering sustainable solutions requires combining knowledge and expertise from multiple fields.

In this context, Le Mans University is organizing the Freshwater Pollution CoLab from 25 to 27 November. Researchers, institutions, associations, and citizens will meet for three days of conferences and collaborative work to explore issues related to water quality and preservation. Some conferences will be held in French, with live interpretation into English (please bring a smartphone with Zoom and headphones).

The programme

Day 1 – Opening and Conferences: Presentation of the issues related to water pollution and treatment, introduction to scientific research, and an exchange session around an exhibition of posters created by students.

Day 2 – Visit to the Maison de l’Eau and Hackathon Launch: Field visit and collaborative work to develop concrete solutions.

Day 3 – Hackathon and Final Presentations: Continuation of collective work and presentation of results to a jury.
