The Student Entrepreneurship Centre (SEC) was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, September 11, by the Rector of the University of Ferrara, Laura Ramaciotti. Located in the Open Laboratory in the former Teatro Verdi, this innovative space is designed to support and empower students in their entrepreneurial ventures.
The Student Entrepreneurship Centre is a key initiative within the COLOURS European University Alliance dedicated to supporting students in turning ideas into business development. By facilitating partnerships with academic institutions and local, regional, and international partners, the SEC aims to inspire creativity and sustainability in student-driven projects. Its mission is to respond to the urgent challenges facing society today, with a focus on developing innovative ideas and participatory projects that contribute to positive social, economic, and environmental change.
In addition to providing support for student projects, the SEC will host a series of events, initiatives, and idea competitions aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial culture within the student community. These activities are designed to increase skills in business development while encouraging the practical application of knowledge. Furthermore, the SEC will offer training opportunities focused on innovative education and research strategies and will act as an information hub for funding and support for student-led business ideas.
The Student Entrepreneurship Centre at the University of Ferrara represents a bold step towards creating a space where students can develop their entrepreneurial skills and contribute to sustainable, real-world solutions.
